Delete Your True False Nine Account

This page explains how to delete your True False Nine account, what is deleted, and how long it takes. There are two ways to delete your account, described below.

Route 1 (preferred): delete your account in the app

The quickest way to delete your account is from inside the app:

1. Open True False Nine and sign in if you are not already signed in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Route 2: request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app — for example, you have uninstalled it or lost your device — email ellisbirch@grumpyyoungmanltd.co.uk from the email address registered on your account, and include your username. We use the sending address to verify that the request comes from the account holder, and we may ask for further information if we cannot verify it. Once verified, we will delete the account and confirm by reply.

Before you delete: cancel any active subscription

Deleting your True False Nine account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and deleting the account does not stop the billing. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the store first:

• App Store (iPhone/iPad): open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose True False Nine, then tap Cancel Subscription.
• Google Play (Android): open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose True False Nine, then tap Cancel subscription.

Cancelling stops future charges but does not automatically refund past payments — refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we delete the personal data linked to it:

• your account and sign-in details;
• your profile — email address, username, avatar, and favourite team;
• your predictions and answers;
• your points, scores, and streaks;
• your league memberships, including leagues you have joined or created.

What we may keep, and why

We may keep a limited set of records after deletion where we are required to keep them to comply with legal obligations, or where they are needed to resolve disputes. Anything retained is kept only for as long as those reasons apply. For more detail, see our Privacy Policy.

How long it takes

We complete account deletion within 30 days of a verified request. In-app requests (Route 1) are verified automatically, because you are signed in when you make them. Email requests (Route 2) are verified by checking that they come from the email address registered on the account.
